Following the range of rumors and recurring leaks pointing to the imminent launch of Oppo’s new mid-range cell phone, the Chinese company finally officialized the A77 at the end of May, in the alternative that was highlighted by the very interesting system that works for the perfect selfie.
Well, even with the recent announcement of the smartphone , it seems that the company still has another variant of this model focused on the mid-end niche.
According to a certification shared by TENAA, the body that certifies the commercialization of handsets in China, the new A77t made headlines in this last document, the big question is that such a smartphone is equipped with an even more powerful chipset than the original device, In addition to the updated edition of the Android operating system.
This supposed variant works with Android 7.1.1 Nougat – unlike the A77 that brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Although the TENAA does not show the chipset brand in its certifications, the recent document reveals that the A77t is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, while the device released in May comprises the 1.5GHz MT6750T – The variant in question does not work with MediaTek. Presumably, the A77t can be made official with a Snapdragon 625 or Helio P10.
In addition, the changes can be seen on the battery – the redesigned edition has a capacity of 3.115 mAh, against 3,200 mAh of the previous device. This factor also influenced the weight, since the variant shows 148 grams, against 153g of the A77.
Already in the external changes, the camera of the device was also repaginated; both the lens and the flash were allocated in a compact window at the top – basically the same archetype of Oppo R11 released in June. The dimensions still differ in this document, and the A77t has 153.3 x 75.9 x 7.4 millimeters (the A77 was produced with 153.3 x 75.2 x 7.2 mm).
The other specs apparently remain unchanged, the main camera still offers 16 megapixels, while the front has 13 megapixels for high definition selfies.
Based on the certification that enables the trade of handsets in the eastern country, it is likely that this variant will be announced in the course of July.
