If the answer to either question is no, they may be better off stockpiling their youngsters and building for a future where LeBron and the Warriors are in decline.

Make no mistake about it – the Warriors didn’t get Durant by accident or luck.

“I don’t believe I’ve played for a superteam”, James said.

This all began eight years ago. We all expected their star players: Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to be the stars they are and deliver, but it was the consistency of their bench players that outplayed the bench players of the Cavaliers.

OAKLAND Is the celebration sweeter the second time around? It was met with criticism from fans who initially saw it as another step back, mercifully booing Lacob at Chris Mullin’s jersey retirement ceremony that took place shortly after the trade. James has made an appearance seven years in a row, four with the Miami Heat and three more now with the Cavs. Golden State managed to avoid Love by refusing to deal Klay Thompson for him. The Warriors won 129-120 to win the National Basketball Association championship. Just as important as the move they did make, was the move they ended up not making.

But controversial policies and outlandish statements by President Donald Trump have upset many USA professional athletes, including players from the predominantly African American NBA. Every Warriors took their turn on the microphone. Fans waited all year for the Finals, as if they were children and it wasn’t June, but instead Christmas morning.

“We haven’t played great thus far, but there’s no pressure on us”, said Cleveland’s reserve forward Richard Jefferson before the fifth game.

Coach Steve Kerr cried.

But throw in a 65-17 regular season, and the Warriors went 81-18 after Kevin Durant joined them, an impressive start to finish after their collapse in last year’s Finals that prevented them from winning three straight championships.

Green’s point: There are no top overall picks on this team.

The brilliant work of the Warriors front office doesn’t stop there, though.

ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reported during the playoffs that Kevin Durant would be willing to take a $4 million pay cut from his potential $35 million max to allow the Warriors to maintain their Bird Rights for Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala, enabling the Warriors to retain both players. Just ask the man responsible for putting together the team. Bandwagon fans never truly become a part of a team. Cleveland is a super team, and Golden State is a super-duper team. “As we go into talks and this whole process – which is obviously new for me – I will approach it as getting the most I can as an individual, as a player, something I’ve been working for a very long time”. I wanted to conform to the culture they built here.

Brian said he has fond memories of attending the 1975 Warriors championship run, back when he said the National Basketball Association was not as popular as it is today. You’re reminded that he got the job because of the insistence of James, who’s recognized as the unofficial, off the record, de facto head coach and general manager of this team, because of his status as “The Greatest Player”.

The issue that Durant’s choice cannot overcome is that the Warriors could lose all three of their rotation centers this offseason. Now time for me just to kind of revamp, see ways I can get better to help this franchise out next year so we can hoist that trophy again.
