Oubre will receive a much warmer welcome when the Wizards return to the friendly confines of Verizon Center for Friday’s Game 6. The Utah Jazz handily defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 7 of their first-round series in L.A. The good news for Washington is that the home team has not only won every game in this series, but going back into the regular season the home team has gone 9-0 when these two teams have gone to battle.

First things first, though.

Wall has produced an effective field goal percentage of 73.6 percent during the regular season and playoffs combined immediately after he was credited with a steal, and his play off live-ball turnovers were instrumental in the Wizards’ Game 4 win Sunday.

Game seven would be in Boston on Monday. Neither team this season has accomplished that feat.

Bradley has suggested previous road blowout losses would only make it sweeter to celebrate in D.C.

The Celtics, who are the top seeds in the East, won Game 5 in their series against Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. After falling 123-101 to the Celtics on Wednesday night, Washington looks to bounce back at home. The first quarter ended with the Celtics leading 33-21. It would be nice if that didn’t happen again.

A similar question was put to Wizards coach Scott Brooks on Thursday, when his team opted to skip a full practice and instead have a light shootaround.

In the second half, the Celtics ran their offense through him, and Horford’s passing ability opened up a give-and-go to Jae Crowder and nifty passes to cutters. “We know what is at stake”.

Playing in the Garden has brought out the Boston Celtics’ best basketball this post-season.

Bradley is the most important defender in a series against John Wall and Bradley Beal, and in game five he was also the most important offensive player. Bradley hit four 3-pointers and shot 12-for-19 overall as Boston took a three-games-to-two lead in the NBA’s Eastern Conference semifinals. Unfortunately, the Wizards didn’t learn a thing from that experience. The home team wins.

“I really don’t think we relaxed, I think they kinda surprised us”, Wall said of the lackluster start. “I think it’s a good test for us”.

The only real surprise was Washington’s level of non-competitiveness. “Get a win and hopefully come back to Boston“.

Thomas and even Celtics TV play-by-play man Mike Gorman texted Bradley prior to this one. “Hopefully, everybody else is treating it like that”. Avery Bradley echoed these sentiments after the Celtics’ solid performance in game five.

Boston was led by guard Avery Bradley, who finished with 29 points, adding to his career playoff high scoring.

Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas was fined $25,000 by the National Basketball Association for “directing inappropriate language” toward a fan during Game 4 against the Washington Wizards at Verizon Center on Sunday.

And this is where Thomas’ growth as a player shined brightly. “We did a hell of a job [Wednesday night] first guy to the last guy”. He’s been even better against the Wizards, upping those percentages to 69 percent and 59 percent, respectively.

All hope isn’t lost because they’ve yet to lose at Verizon Center and could get another crack on the Celtics’ parquet.
